Yes, to connect all your ONVIF Profile S cameras by bridge to cloud model, you need to purchase a VIVOTEK NVR. There are four models that can connect to VORTEX: ND9426P, ND9442P, ND9326P, and ND9542P

No. An organization can only use one plan (basic plan: xLite or advanced plan: xStd/xPro). If the organization is on xLite, all devices must follow the xLite plan. If upgraded to xStd or xPro, then all devices must have active xStd or xPro licenses.

xPro Licenses offer a 10-year warranty for most VORTEX Camera models. Some camera types may have different warranty terms.
Once you downgrade from the xPro License, the 10-year warranty will revert to the original camera's warranty, even if you switch back to the xPro license in the future.

For example, the original camera warranty is 5 years. In the first year, you bought it with the xPro License and extended the warranty to 10 years. If you switch to the other plan upon 1-year expiration, after using 1 year the remaining hardware warranty is 4 years, it will be the new applicable warranty period.

When storing data in the VORTEX cloud, the duration varies based on the type of data:

- Cloud Backup(VORTEX Cameras Only): Options for retention are available for 30, 60, 90 ,120 ,180, or 365 days.
- Cloud Archive: For xStd License we support 5GB / per camera, and xPro License we support 30GB / per camera. Video clips are stored indefinitely, ideal for retaining older footage for future reference.
- Message Center: Stores data for 30 days, including messages, notifications, and alerts.

In summary, cloud storage durations vary, with backups and messages stored for up to 365 days, and archived videos indefinitely.

Video backup refers to creating a copy of your video data and storing it in a different location. This backup can serve as a safeguard for recovery purposes in the event of video loss, damage, error, or corruption.

On the other hand, video archiving is the process of moving video data that is no longer actively used but needs to be retained, to a different location for long-term storage. Unlike backup data, which is essentially a duplicate, archived data is unique. It's usually data that an organization needs to keep for reasons such as complying with legal regulations or internal policies.

VORTEX cameras come with an on-board SD card providing 30 days of local storage at no extra charge. The SD card is installed inside the camera when shipped, so there is no need for manual installation. For NVRs with VORTEX Connect support, the edge storage is on the NVR's hard disk drive (HDD).

The VORTEX Bridge-to-Cloud model supports all VIVOTEK Network Cameras, allowing for quick transition to VORTEX centralized management with basic Real-time AI Alarm features. However, some advanced AI features such as Deep Search and AI Analytics are only supported by VIVOTEK AI Cameras and VORTEX Premium Cameras.

License start and end dates may vary depending on your purchased plan or batch.
VORTEX License Control works at the organization level. If even one camera license expires or is unlicensed, the whole organization enters a 30-day “Grace Period”. If the license is not renewed in time, a "Renewal Overdue" phase begins.
