VORTEX Open API – Arm/Disarm Settings for Alarm Monitoring Partners

As VORTEX continues to expand its ecosystem with leading Alarm Monitoring platforms, we are introducing a new Open API that enables partners to remotely arm or disarm existing VORTEX alarms. This API allows Alarm Monitoring partners to control alarm states based on their operational workflows, helping streamline remote monitoring and incident management for end-user sites.

Beyond alarm monitoring integrations, the API can also be leveraged by other integration partners and customers to automate alarm operations according to their own business requirements and workflows.

After accessing the page, navigate to API Reference > Portal API > Alarms > Update specified alarm setting to find the relevant documentation.

Mobile App

New Features

Support Alarm Managent Setting

Users can now create, edit, and delete alarms directly within the mobile app, providing a more efficient way to manage alarm settings on the go.

Support Peripheral Setup and Configuration

The VORTEX Mobile App now enables users to onboard and configure VIVOTEK Network Speakers and PoE Switches directly from their mobile devices—eliminating the need to perform setup from a desktop.

Users can also:

• Associate Network Speakers with cameras
• Adjust speaker volume
• Enable Talk-down and recorded audio message directly from Camera Live View
• Remotely manage PoE Switches anytime, anywhere
• Perform power cycling on individual ports or all ports directly from the app

With these enhancements, installers and administrators can deploy, configure, and troubleshoot peripheral devices more efficiently.
